Sarbloh Apple Cake from Gurdwara Tapoban Sahib
Streusel Topping:
- 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 medium apples, peeled, quartered, cored
Cake:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of all- purpose flour
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons of dahi/yogurt (to replace egg)
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
- Mix the cake and streusel ingredients and neatly pour the cake mixture into a pan of your choice.
- Neatly arrange the apple streusel on top of the cake mixture (before baking). Bake until cake is set and apples are tender, about 40 - 45 mins.
